Through formal and comprehensive adoption policies, educational humane programs and events designed to increase awareness, compassion and responsible pet ownership, the Humane Society's mission is to place every adoptable animal in a permanent, well-educated home.

The Humane Society of Wickenburg has just joined the Million Cat Challenge!! The Million Cat Challenge is a shelter-based campaign to save the lives of one million cats in North America over the next five years. The core strategy of the campaign will be five key initiatives that will offer every shelter, in every community, practical choices to reduce euthanasia, increase live outcomes, and assure humane care for every cat in the shelter!


Thanks to Arizona Pet License plates for awarding HSW grant money in 2016 to help spay and neuter cats and dogs.  The money was used to assist pet owners cover the expense of the surgery.
