Planned Giving, Leaving an Important Legacy

Please consider including the Humane Society of Wickenburg in your estate plans. Your planned gift means that we can continue to provide care to homeless animals for years to come. Planned giving allows you to provide for the future of the Humane Society of Wickenburg.

A planned gift is any major gift, conferred in lifetime or at death as part of a donors overall financial and/or estate planning.

Remembering the Humane Society of Wickenburg in your final giving plans allows you to enjoy the benefits of a gift to our mission, while making a powerful statement about your love of animals.

Planned giving can come in many forms. Naming the Humane Society of Wickenburg in your Will, Living Trust or other estate plans, ensures we can help many animals through our programs, clinics, adoptions and professional care while at the shelter, until we can find their forever home.

A general bequest is a simple way to include HSW in your will. In this method, you would leave a specific dollar amount to HSW. A percentage bequest is noted as a specific percentage of the estate. A restricted bequest restricts the purpose of the bequest. This type should be made in the broadest terms possible, yet consistent with your wishes. Life insurance gifts are a common way to support organizations and missions donors care about. Donors can contribute all or part of a policy to the Humane Society of Wickenburg when named as a beneficiary.

Your lawyer and/or financial planner can advise you on making sure your legacy includes caring for our animals and the future of the Humane Society of Wickenburg. We urge you to seek legal and financial counsel before making a planned gift to any charity.
